Time let me play - from the poetry of Dylan Thomas
The Poetry of Dylan Thomas
2014 was the centenary year of Dylan Thomas during which Wales held a festival spanning most of the year. In amongst all the activities, performances and events, the Arts Council of Wales commissioned and sponsored me to transcribe a collection of Dylan’s poems to music, to record an album and to put together a concert tour covering the majority of Arts Venues in Wales. The entire adventure was a success! It brought about 2 experiences which I will always remember: performing the very first concert of the tour in St David’s Cathedral and bumping into the lofty figure of Rees Evans in a Pub doorway near St David’s. He and a cast of actors and extras were in the Pub sheltering from the rain whilst filming Under Milk Wood.
Recorded and mixed by Jake Hollyfield. Mastered by Supernature.
